Ready To Get On

Spending roughly the past 4-7 days mixing a 2nd version of a client project has been an interesting ordeal, compared to the first version.

I’ve reamped 14 channels of guitar DI through the Quad Cortex, created a custom cab IR for this project, took a few tips from another friend who mixes and masters their own work, and have worked on correcting any errors to the best of ability to create a much better version of the song.

I am one instrument away from finalizing the entirety and that requires automating and balancing volume, before hitting the inserts and sends.

Confident that this is probably the start of getting a better grip on home demos.

But at the same time, writing this as I’m tired from a mini food coma and a long day of banging 4kHz and up into my ears and getting enough fatigue that I needed to rest them for a bit.

Once rested, the final stretch begins to wrap this up. I’m ready to get on with my own work at this point.
