JUN_14_2026 - Taste of Summer

The heat has finally started kicking in, giving a taste of the summer feel here in the northwest.
I am not a heat person, but eventually hotter temperatures will become the new norm, so gotta adapt somehow.

On the flip of it all:

I’ve ordered new hardware for my home setup and one piece closer to a live gig I can adapt to anything. I’ll update this in the equipment section once it arrives and is set up properly.

I was planning on returning to college this fall for another school year, but scholarships were denied this round, despite two terms last year with a 4.0 GPA. I am not deterred from my plan to finish it sometime, but now is probably not it.

With that in mind, I will be working on a lot of backlog of music throughout what would have been the school year. a lot of music from 3 different eras. This is going to most likely be multiple extended plays or a full length album or two. No matter which way it goes, there will be a lot of music coming.

One of the other things I’ve been sitting on for awhile is a rather large story and writing project that came to me in 2021. While there’s a massive amount of details to fill in based on what exists in code right now, I have been contemplating the possibility of even just turning the whole entire thing into a music release of sort. the problem with thinking about that is with 280 chapters in coded format, how long would the music best represent each chapter, and what genres would best suit parts, or what styles of production would float and convey the artistic intent.

the bright side is the beginning and the end are very clear. there are parts in the middle that are guaranteed. but there’s still so much to appropriately fill in. remembering your dreams is a fun task when you’re creating something I guess.

One last thing before posting - I’m also preparing to make new YouTube content at some point here. Because I’ve been figuring myself out more and figuring out my hardware and everything, I might as well share that part of the journey and sort of explain how the journey landed me where I am at right now. It could help other musicians maybe, or at least offer a perspective. All while maybe getting visibility on some things that I think developers could benefit from hearing out. Nothing nefarious or ill-intended.

See you in the next update in probably 10-14 days.
